We know now that in the early years of the twentieth century this world was being watched closely by intelligences greater than man's, and yet as mortal as his own. We know now that as human beings busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinized and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinize the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacence people went to and fro over the earth about their little affairs, serene in the assurance of their dominion over this small, spinning fragment of solar driftwood which, by chance or design, man has inherited out of the dark mystery of Time and Space. Yet across an immense ethereal gulf, minds that are to our minds as ours are to the beasts in the jungle, intellects vast, cool and unsympathetic, regarded this earth with envious eyes and slowly and surely drew their plans against us. In the thirty-ninth year of the twentieth century came the great disillusionment. It was near the end of October. Business was better. The war scare was over. More men were back at work. Sales were picking up. On this particular evening, October 30th, the Crosley service estimated that thirty-two million people were listening in on radios. This is Orson Welles, ladies and gentlemen, out of character to assure you that "The War of The Worlds" has no further significance than as the holiday offering it was intended to be. The Mercury Theatre's own radio version of dressing up in a sheet and jumping out of a bush and saying Boo! Starting now, we couldn't soap all your windows and steal all your garden gates by tomorrow night... so we did the best next thing. We annihilated the world before your very ears, and utterly destroyed the C. B. S. You will be relieved, I hope, to learn that we didn't mean it, and that both institutions are still open for business. So goodbye everybody, and remember please, for the next day or so, the terrible lesson you learned tonight. That grinning, glowing, globular invader of your living room is an inhabitant of the pumpkin patch, and if your doorbell rings and nobody's there, that was no Martian... it's Halloween.

Stanton T. Friedman on ufo's. Recently our weather here in Western New York had gifted us with clear conditions in a region known for its natural overcast or chem-trails produced by aircraft, which skeptics have informed me are really only contrails. Which is interesting as I have actually witnessed high altitude aircraft minus any evidence of chem-trail or contrails. This past summer I had also witnessed two high altitude aircraft laying down chem-trails which were traveling on a collision path. Where upon contact had flown through each other in then continuing independently across an open sky. Perhaps evidence of a matrix existence not so far removed from the original movie script where many people have reported experiencing phenomena which lead them to more thoroughly question the solidity of what we today call reality. So with such optimal weather condition had I taken advantage by visiting one of several locations known to have ufological activity. Our first night out proved cold with only a few aircraft flyovers complete with an occasional shooting star. Our second night produced visual observation on a singular illuminated object which remained semi stationary for almost three minutes before blinking out as if someone had turned off a light switch. So while unknown object had remained in view was I able to capture a number of images now provided here in animation as evidence.

Satanism as explored and explained by Anton Szandor LaVey. Knowledge exists in many forms some of which may be deemed unsuitable or unacceptable in its original form and complexity. Many people find it necessary to reconstruct many of the original beliefs and rituals of many indigenous religious practice and spiritual writings so as to better conform to what becomes a morally restricted set of principles more easily dominated and controlled by those who then may falsely make claims of mastery through little effort. Witchcraft is but one such example which in many ways had been broken down then reassembled into belonging now to the new Wiccan religion. Fortunately there have always existed individuals who remain dedicated to retaining the original rituals and theories as handed down from generation to generation thus assuring the authenticity and heritage of the original craft of the wise. Sadly, there are many early beliefs which had not survived the passage of time. But to evolve is to survive in a world of constant change and eventual chaos where knowledge is power and is often a power which may aid in your defense against the very power you had sought to enslave by your own desire. For that is both the allure and danger behind the learning and acquisition regarding occult knowledge. Ultimately what path you select for yourself is governed by your conscious actions and choices whether they be good, bad, or none at all. Guns are blamed for thousands of murders each year and yet almost each and every case had involved someone behind the gun. Motor vehicles are an extension of ourselves by surrounding our bodies within an outer shell like frame much like an insect where whether the vehicle becomes and instrument of death or not does often rely on human intervention. Satanism is a religion and contains its own level of knowledge and power just as any other faith may contain. And no I am not a Satanist. Stay magickal my friends.

Report From A Dead Planet

Geologically speaking nothing on our planet could ever be described as permanent. Though because of our species measurement of time passage, anything which remains unchanged over several human generations is normally considered long lasting and thus permanently stable. Truth of the matter is that our planet has revealed through scientific analysis the fact of several mass extinctions having occured throughout our planets existence. 439 million years ago our earth experienced the Ordovician-Silurian extinction, which they say was caused by dropping and then raising sea levels due to the creation and then melting of glaciers thus causing a mass loss of sea life and vegetation. 364 million years ago we have the late Devonian extinction, this one which also caused a mass extinction of sea life with the difference that today's science has yet to discover a cause. 251 million years ago our earth had experienced the Permian-Triassic extinction which was caused by either comet or asteroid impact, volcanism from the Siberian Traps and or related loss of oxygen in the seas. Whatever the cause it was responsible for the killing of 95 percent of all species, 53 percent of marine families, 84 percent of marine genera and an estimated 70 percent of land species such as plants, insects and vertebrate animals. Ouch! But we're not done yet. 199 million to 214 million years ago gave us the Triassic extinction, most likely caused by massive floods of lava erupting from the central Atlantic magma province, an event that triggered the opening of the Atlantic Ocean. The volcanism may have led to deadly global warming. Rocks from the eruptions have been found in the eastern United States, eastern Brazil, North Africa and Spain. And now our most recent event, having occured some 65 million years ago, the Cretaceous-Tertiary extinction which involved the dinosaurs, is believed to have been caused by the impact of a several-mile-wide asteroid hitting the Yucatan Peninsula and Gulf of Mexico. But as scary as that sounds it must be remembered that had it not been for this particular cataclysm based extinction, which is alleged to have caused the extinction of the dinosaurs, that our species known as mammals, never would have received the opportunity to flourish in eventually evolving into us! Call it a cosmic crapshoot, but that folks is how they say we came to be. Since then we "humans" have come close to near extinction through things like plagues, mass human genocide against each other, plus who could forget our two major world conflicts along with other numerous wars in settling differences on various social ideologies. And our species is apparently not through yet even though our earth or the universe could in the next second eradicate us from the face of this world. Worst case scenario is a planet earth devoid of all human existence. Now imagine if you will, experiencing such a world through the arrival of extraterrestrial explorers, where you should keep in mind that someday, this may come true.

The Headless Hessian

We are all familiar with the story of the headless horseman and Sleepy Hollow New York. The movie Sleepy Hollow which came out several years ago did a phenomenal job in further chilling the blood. Now as much as I would have preferred this particular radio drama to have been more true to form do we instead have a story which blends the American revolution with just a hint of ghostly fabrication and all for the sake of love. No heads were severed in the production of this radio drama. Though many at one time or another have lost their head because of love.

Stay out of Dutchman's Woods

We have all been warned of specific locations which are best avoided and never ever visited. Even such well known locations as "The Appalachian Trail" along with its beauty and allure for hiking, carries with it the stigma for having had several people through the years found either murdered or never found at all. And there are many other such locations which have their history of strange and sometimes horrific occurrences which every once in awhile may still claim yet another unfortunate soul as if the winner of some sort of bazaar cosmic lottery. As to whether or not anything natural or unnatural exist behind such locations only those long inhabiting such regions and their occasional unfortunate victim ever knows for sure. And now through the power of imagination will we experience the darker side of one such location through the experiences of a young couple venturing through haunted Dutchman's Woods.

A Message From Space

I believe in ufo's. I really do. I had my first sighting of a ufo in a Rochester NY neighborhood when I was young. It made a sound which I can still remember involving a tone and pitch even after all these years, which later I believe had involved contact on a much more personal level, especially once I began my personal research journey into this particular unknown. Like many others, I used to waste my time attempting to convince others that not only are ufos real, but that they are here on this planet amongst us. But always was there either the ridicule from non believers or the ostracizing by those who believed but had developed their own personal monetary franchise or personal clique of other believers. I make mention of this because the path of a ufo believer, as well as those having personally experienced encounters of the third kind, can be a lonely existence. In general, ufos, and often, even their occupants, are reported to represent different meanings and experiences to different people. Good or bad. Horrifying or transcending in experience. Let us just hope that your experience is something more like that of the skeptic in our following tale.

Witches Almanac

Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and caldron bubble. This particular story is not kind at all towards Witches. In fact the Witches in this story are more your Satanic brand as opposed to today's Wiccan which claim themselves as modern Witches even though not a single Wiccan had ever been mentioned either in the Bible or during the inquisition. In essence Wiccans are posers whose faith is still rather new when compared to the antiquity of the actual craft. The actual craft that is to say REAL Witchcraft is Goddess based and does not believe nor worship Satan. Satan is a Christian concept, and has no place within a Goddess religion. But it has always been common practice that the Gods of an old religion would become the demon and devils of a new religion. And thus in time Witchcraft or that of the old religion was bastardized as becoming something worshiping Satan and devils. In the real world you have many different interpretations of Christianity. And you also have different interpretations of the old religion of Witchcraft and Wicca. So before joining any religion is it always a good ideal to fully explore and investigate any spiritual organization.

Burn, Witch, Burn!

Of all the many Mystery Theaters ever produced this is one which could easily be described as audibly graphic. Now when I mention this I do not make reference of any profanity I assure you. But this particular theatric was focused upon the telling and feeling during a time of madness when being accused of Witchcraft or association with the devil meant the possibility of torture or ever worse treatment, especial if you were a woman. Burn, Witch, Burn is graphic because our story begins while the life of an accused Witch ends. Of all the many Mystery Theaters, this particular one is both highly disturbing and thought provoking regarding a dark period of American history.

The Hound of the Baskervilles

I checked and corroborated all the facts which were mentioned at the inquest. I followed the footsteps down the yew alley, I saw the spot at the moor-gate where he seemed to have waited, I remarked the change in the shape of the prints after that point, I noted that there were no other footsteps save those of Barrymore on the soft gravel, and finally I carefully examined the body, which had not been touched until my arrival. Sir Charles lay on his face, his arms out, his fingers dug into the ground, and his features convulsed with some strong emotion to such an extent that I could hardly have sworn to his identity. There was certainly no physical injury of any kind. But one false statement was made by Barrymore at the inquest. He said that there were no traces upon the ground round the body. He did not observe any. But I did. Some little distance off, but fresh and clear." "Footprints?" "Footprints. " "A man's or a woman's?" Dr. Mortimer looked strangely at us for an instant, and his voice sank almost to a whisper as he answered: "Mr. Holmes, they were the footprints of a gigantic hound!" Ghost Talk

Having spent more than thirty years investigating and researching those elements known as "ghosts" does give one an advanced unique perspective on the subject which sometimes can leave you with a touch of sadness. A touch of sadness over the fact that many spirits are lonely creatures whose loved ones have long passed from this world thus leaving them to forever roam eternity as silent ghostly remnants of their former selves. When the living have lost a cherished loved one, it is always comforting to know that as long as we hold the memory of such loss within our heart that they shall always be with us. But according to many psychic mediums, there are also spirits who go about their spiritual lives doing many of the things which they had never the chance to do in life. In this light hearted radio drama we find ourselves confronting not only the subject of loss but of also what might await us after death. Also of interest is what might be an actual evp which can be heard as a deep sounding male voice speaking briefly around the 1:00 minute position of this file. Interesting to consider how this may have been a prior missed evp phenomena having taken place years before during an actual AM station broadcast of this program.

Since my last broadcast on old ghost stories had proven so popular with folks who much like myself had remembered their own instructional phase of life punctuated by unique "child moment scaries" during an era of early technological transportable devices of self gratification. Yep, that's long wind for record players, and old radio broadcasts. Something of which I thoroughly enjoy myself as my personal collection of such treasures is rather extensive. Back before television eventually gained control of our optic nerves, were our individual perceptions only accessible through auditory which lead toward the manipulation and stimulation of the human imagination. Think War Of The Worlds. And as representing the last generation to truly experience the final vestiges of radio entertainment, can we still recollect as children, when there had existed little difference between reality, and that at time subtly suggested as only imagination. The Five Ghostly Indians. Imagine discovering your footfalls during a restive occasion at a lodge in Maine, having been proceeded by a distant early relative which had been historically chronicled by the bloodshed and death of several indigenous peoples. Imagine even further upon the discovery of an ancient American Indian arrowhead found amidst the rocky sea shore having a direct connection with the spirits of those slain by an early ancestor. Avenging spirits. You have been warned.

There is no way that anyone can ever have a serious interest in the paranormal without ever having wondered what it must be like to be a ghost minus any romantic inclination involving rattling chains or haunted door knockers. Many such examples based upon actual testimony have described everything from poor forlorn roaming souls in seeking lost love or retribution to those which silently observe the everyday invisibly going about it's business. Though any ghostly haunting description is always dependent upon any immediate environment where such telling may be received indifferently or perhaps may chill the blood as during a campfire while unknowns may be imagined within the peripheral darkness. But some tales are endearing while blending just a touch of mild horror as awaits you in our next radio offering, The Canterville Ghost.

The Mark Of Cain

The Book Of Genesis brings us the description where God had declared that Cain, firstborn son of Adam and Eve, was forever cursed to eternally walk the earth for having killed his brother Abel out of jealousy, and forever marked by God as a warning to all humanity that any who slew him would themselves suffer vengeance seven times over. The following radio drama catches up with our eternally cursed wanderer now working in the Western United States as a hired gun in the middle of the nineteen century. Original recording is a bit rough on the edges in places but well worth the listen.
